Beetroot caviar is a simple and inexpensive treat for a festive table.
To prepare this dish you will need the simplest ingredients.
If you need another treat for the holiday table, and there are no other options, the recipe for beetroot caviar can be an excellent solution.
1. Grate carrots (0.5 kg) and beets (2 kg) on a fine grater.
2. Tomatoes (1 kg), onions (0.3 kg) and hot peppers (1 pc.) are passed through a meat grinder.
3. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl. Add salt (tablespoon), sugar (3 tablespoons), ground black pepper (1/2 teaspoon) and vegetable oil (0.2 liters).
4. Mix the contents of the pan again and place on the stove. After boiling, reduce the heat to medium. Cook the caviar under the lid for 90 minutes, stirring occasionally.
5. 10 minutes before completion, add apple cider vinegar (2 tablespoons), then stir.
The finished caviar is rolled into jars. From this amount of products, you can prepare 4 liter jars.
