How to Make a Student's Workplace Comfortable: Designer's Advice
A new academic year is about to begin, which means that you need to make sure that your child is comfortable at home preparing for new lessons.
Designer Svetlana Kosareva gave some advice in a conversation with representatives of the publication " Gazeta.Ru ".
The specialist noted that the arrangement of the work area should start with the table. If we are talking about younger schoolchildren, then here we need to choose tables and chairs that can be adjusted in height.
It is important to have good organization of storage systems. Drawers and cabinets should be at arm's length. The specialist recommended to provide a niche for a briefcase.
You should also take care of high-quality lighting.
It is best to place the table closer to the window so that there is a natural source of light. It is also necessary to take into account that for right-handed people the table should be on the right side of the window, and for left-handed people - on the left.
A desk lamp would not be superfluous. If there is a computer on the table, then it is necessary to provide that the lamp is higher than the screen, otherwise it will glare.
The designer also recommended making an organizer board for the student, which would be attached above the desk.
