In cold weather, you should not apply moisturizers to your face before going outside.
Cosmetologist Natalia Ryabinova warned about this.
An expert told NEWS.ru in an interview how to properly care for your facial skin in winter.
As Ryabinova explained, in winter, facial skin requires special care.
Cold air and wind weaken the natural barrier, the cosmetologist explained.
According to the specialist, it is advisable to do nourishing masks weekly in winter.
Choose products with oils, aloe extracts or hyaluronic acid, advised Ryabinova.
It is not recommended, the expert continued, to apply moisturizing gels and serums before going outside.
They freeze quickly, which leads to rupture of capillaries and is fraught with rosacea.
Moisturizing products must be covered with a thick nourishing cream on top, the cosmetologist emphasized.
She clarified that it is possible to use moisturizers if you do not plan to stay in the cold.
