An adult human being consists of approximately 70% water, two-thirds of which is contained within the cells and another third is in the intercellular space.

In summer, when it is hot outside, we drink a lot and sweat intensely. Along with sweat, mineral salts responsible for removing excess blood and intercellular fluid from tissues leave our body.

As a result, blood plasma accumulates between the cells and edema appears.
