You've probably heard that special eye exercises can improve your vision.

Sounds tempting, but is it really so? Let's find out.

Eye gymnastics involves performing a variety of exercises.

For example, this may include pressing on the eyes, stroking them with the palm of the hand, eye movements, using incorrect prescription glasses, and other methods.

However, scientists are not sure about the benefits of these methods.

Benjamin Botsford, an assistant professor of ophthalmology at the Massachusetts General Hospital's T.H. Chan School of Public Health, has seen thousands of patients in his career.

He notes that to date, no study has provided convincing evidence that these exercises help eliminate the need for glasses or provide long-term, significant benefits.

So the answer to the question of whether it is worth doing eye exercises to improve vision is: there is simply no scientific data.
