Some areas of activity are not suitable for pregnant women at all. The fact is that they can provoke a miscarriage or stillbirth.

Therefore, scientists conducted a study to find out what exactly should not be done during pregnancy in order to carry and give birth to a living and healthy child.

A corresponding article appeared in the Journal of Occupational Health.

In total, the scientists examined 1.8 million working and non-working pregnant women in South Korea from 2010 to 2019. They mainly looked at three types of risks.

We are talking about early terminations, for example, ectopic pregnancy or miscarriage, as well as stillbirth and absence of live birth.

The results were surprising.

The thing is that the risk was higher for those women who did not work. In such situations, the first two reasons were more common. As for the working representatives of the fair sex, they more often had no live birth. At the same time, the risk was higher for those women who worked in the social sphere and medicine.

In addition, high risks of no live births were observed among those who were involved in production, trade, and education.

Doctors also found that work in manufacturing and medicine was also associated with a higher risk of premature abortions, compared, for example, with work in the financial and insurance sectors.

Scientists noted that each country may have its own operating characteristics, so the data cannot be considered universal.
