With the onset of cold weather, every driver must change their approach to refueling their vehicle.
In winter, it is advisable to visit gas stations more often than in autumn, spring and summer.
The thing is that in low temperature conditions something happens to the gas tank.
Thus, the valves that prevent excess pressure from occurring actually do not work.
In such a situation, leaving the tank almost empty is very dangerous.
If there is little fuel in the tank during the cold season, the tank begins to fill with gases.
The pressure increases and this negatively affects the vehicle's power unit and pump.
Taking into account all of the above, in freezing conditions the driver should try to keep the gas tank of his car full.
If this condition is met, there will be less gas in the tank. The pressure will not become too high.
Another negative consequence is prevented - the formation of dangerous condensate in the tank.
