From November 1 of this year, new rules in the field of automobile transportation, including taxis, came into effect in Belarus.
From now on, such transportation is permitted only if one important condition is met.
It states: in order to carry out this type of activity, it is necessary that the register of passenger transportation in irregular service contains data on dispatchers, carriers, drivers and vehicles.
Otherwise, writes Belta, such transportation will be illegal and, accordingly, will be prohibited.
Please note: answers to frequently asked questions regarding the said register are contained on the official website of the Ministry of Transport and Communications and the Transport Inspectorate.
These innovations are stipulated in the decree “On automobile transportation of passengers” (No. 32 of January 25 of this year).
The Transport Inspectorate has been designated as the operator of the register of passenger road transport in irregular traffic.
This document includes the following information:
- about automobile carriers;
– about vehicles (buses, cars and taxis);
– about drivers of vehicles performing relevant passenger transportation;
– about dispatchers of such transportation, as well as about taxi dispatchers.
A foreign organization created under the laws of another country may transport passengers by motor transport (irregular transportation), as well as work as a taxi dispatcher, only under one condition.
The issue is about the need for this organization to create a legal entity on the territory of Belarus, the main activity of which will be the provision of the above-mentioned services.
In this case, information about this legal entity must also be included in the register.
