From November 29 to December 1, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Grodno Region is holding a preventive event "Pedestrian!"
The press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee reported this on Telegram.
The event is aimed at stabilizing the situation on the region’s roads.
As part of the event, traffic police officers monitor drivers' compliance with speed limits, rules for overtaking, transporting passengers, and driving through intersections and pedestrian crossings.
Traffic police patrols are on duty at pedestrian crossings and are working on roads leading to public recreation areas.
Increased attention is paid to identifying drunk drivers and pedestrians, as well as those without a license.
Traffic police inspectors also monitor compliance with traffic regulations by pedestrians, cyclists and persons using personal mobility devices.
During the period of the investigation, covert and mixed control of road traffic will be organized, the press service of the Internal Affairs Directorate reported.
