A Russian businessman has decided to sue the world leader in the auto industry, the German company BMW.

The reason for filing the lawsuit was a malfunction of the fan. It is specified that he purchased a brand new X7 in 2021, but the car turned out to be defective.

A Russian businessman from the Moscow region filed a lawsuit against BMW and won more than 300 million rubles due to a defect in the operation of a fan, the Telegram channel Mash reports.

It is known that he purchased his new X7 in full configuration in 2021.

The car cost him 11 million rubles.

Among other options, air conditioning was installed on the backs of the front seats.

In hot weather, the technology should increase the comfort of staying in the car.

But the function did not work, and instead of airflow, the noise of a fan hitting the seat upholstery and the driver’s back was heard.

As a result, the man decided to go to court demanding a replacement for the defective car.

At the trial, the company representative was rude, insulted the victim, and called the results of the examination “nonsense.”

The court ruled in favor of the plaintiff and ordered the German automaker BMW to pay a penalty of 6.5 million rubles per month until the car was replaced.

However, due to the well-known events of 2022, BMW left the Russian market without complying with the court decision.

As a result, the debt amount reached 300 million rubles.
