Winter tires will become mandatory in Belarus from December 1.
The Telegram channel of the Belkhteosmotr UP reminds us of this.
Beltekhosmotr reminded that in accordance with the legislation, from December 1 to March 1, winter tires must be installed on vehicles with a technically permissible total weight of up to 3.5 tons inclusive, and passenger cars and cargo-passenger vehicles with a technically permissible total weight of over 3.5 tons.
This requirement also applies to buses with a technically permissible total weight of up to five tons.
Winter tires must be installed on all wheels of the vehicle, Beltekhosmotr clarified.
They also reminded that the presence of a technical inspection is now checked automatically by road cameras.
Since October 30, such control has appeared on another section of roads approaching Minsk, the report notes.
