Electric garbage truck released in Belarus
The Minsk Automobile Plant has produced an electric garbage truck MAZ-692E55. The vehicle will soon be demonstrated at the Urbantrans exhibition in Moscow.
The event was announced by the organizers of the event, noting that the car plant will also present “new models” and “equipment that has gained popularity in key markets.”
In particular, as reported on the exhibition website, they will show the MAZ-54402L truck tractor, the Kupava 573100 isothermal van with a tail lift based on the MAZ chassis, the MAZ 303T20 trolleybus and the new MAZ-692E55 electric garbage truck.
As for the latter, the vehicle is based on a special chassis with a low-slung cabin that has a large glass area.
By the way, the cabin can accommodate four people, which will allow loading to be completed faster and free the driver from participating in this work.
It was previously stated that this garbage truck would have a load capacity of 12,000 to 16,300 kg.
Regarding charging: it was reported that fast charging will take no more than 2 hours, regular charging – 10 hours. The range on one charge is from 150 to 200 km.
