A Minsk resident received more than $12,000 in counterfeit bills when selling a car.
The man found out that the dollars were counterfeit at the bank.
This was reported by the press service of the State Committee for Forensic Expertise in Minsk.
A resident of the capital came to the bank to exchange 100 dollars. The cashier doubted the authenticity of the banknote and reported it to the police.

He had no idea that the banknote could be counterfeit, the State Forensic Science Inspectorate reported.
The man sold the car for $12,200. An examination showed that all the bills were counterfeit. The Moscow District Department of Internal Affairs is conducting an investigation.
