Electric motorcycles must not be used in public transport lanes.
Violation of this requirement of the Road Traffic Regulations entails administrative liability in the form of a fine.
The press service of the State Traffic Inspectorate of Minsk reminded about this in Telegram.
According to traffic regulations, a motorcycle is a two-wheeled mechanical vehicle with a maximum design speed of over 50 kilometers per hour, regardless of the engine type.
The public transport lane is permitted for public transport and electric vehicles.
However, an electric motorcycle is considered a motorcycle, not an electric vehicle. Therefore, it should not be driven in the public transport lane.
Violation of this traffic regulation requirement entails administrative liability in the form of a fine of 1 to 5 base units.
In case of repeated violation within a year, the fine will be from 2 to 8 base units.
