On September 4-6, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Minsk Region will hold the “Sober Driver” campaign.
The press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee reported this on Telegram.
The campaign is being held in order to improve road safety, prevent drunk and unlicensed driving, and minimize road traffic injuries caused by drunk and unlicensed drivers.
Police patrols will be carried out closer to alcoholic beverage retail outlets, petrol stations and entertainment venues.
Particular attention will be paid to facilities operating around the clock.
Raid events are also planned; they will take place in all districts of the Minsk region.
During the raids, traffic police officers will monitor the physical condition of drivers and the availability of their licenses.
