Keeping a safe distance from the vehicle in front or any other vehicle is a rule that all drivers must follow.
Experienced motorists can handle this task without any problems.
But what should beginners do? How can they correctly calculate the safest distance?
And how can you do this on the go when you need a quick reaction?
There is one interesting trick. It will make life easier for many novice drivers.
First, try to find with your eyes any stationary object located on the side of the road.
The ideal option is some kind of pole.
Next, wait until the car in front of you passes this structure.
Start mentally counting the seconds. At least 3 seconds should pass before you reach the object.
If the condition is met, the distance between vehicles is safe.
Important point: in the dark and in adverse weather conditions, the time interval should be increased to 6 seconds.
