The Belarusian enterprise Belshina has changed its approach to tire production.
Now, ultra-high-strength metal cord is used in the production of all passenger car tire models.
This innovation has been in effect since September 1, BELTA reports.
Due to the new material, tires produced at the plant in Bobruisk will acquire special properties.
The first feature: the tires will be lighter. The weight will be reduced by more than 3 percent. At the same time, the performance characteristics will not deteriorate.
The second feature: thanks to the ultra-high-strength metal cord, the tires will be more durable.
The third feature: due to tires produced using modified technologies, the vehicle’s fuel consumption will be reduced by up to 2.5 percent.
The fourth feature: thanks to the new material, dynamic loads on the machine elements will be reduced.
It is emphasized that the updated passenger car tires have been successfully tested: the effectiveness of using such tires has been confirmed.
